Resumo:
Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. This study analyzes the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) on the performance and risk management of investment funds in Brazil. Based on classical theories and quantitative models, the research compares historical data (2016–2025) from funds that use these technologies with traditional funds from the same asset managers. Using metrics such as Sharpe, Sortino, and volatility, the study aims to determine whether AI provides a real and sustainable advantage. The results are expected to contribute to both academic research and the decision-making processes of investors and fund managers.
