Resumo:
Given the high risk associated with an industrial piece of equipment known as a palletizer, and its history of fatalities, the need to adapt the equipment to comply with NR-12 (Brazilian Regulatory Standard 12) was identified. Therefore, this work proposes to introduce technological innovation through a camera with integrated artificial intelligence that monitors all equipment for any unsafe act or situation, thus mitigating risk. The device will feature a system connection architecture, upgrading the monitoring system from a category insufficient to a category 4 safety level. Methodologies based on ISO 12100 and NBR14153, such as safety category classification and the HRN quantitative risk classification methodology, will demonstrate the results before and after the implementation of the AI-powered camera. This highlights technological innovation, reduced maintenance costs, increased operational reliability, and enhanced employee safety perception.
