Resumo:
This monograph presents a theological anthropological investigation into the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead, based on the systematic reflections of Joseph Ratzinger in his work Eschatology: Death and Eternal Life. Beginning with the concept of the human being as imago Dei, the study traces the existential trajectory from the ontological rupture caused by original sin to the definitive overcoming of death through the resurrection of Christ an event that serves as the hermeneutical key to Christian eschatological hope. The resurrection, understood not as a metaphor but as a historical and eschatological reality, is presented as the foundation of Christian anthropology and the interpretive axis of human existence in its fullness. The research further emphasizes the intrinsic link between the resurrection of Christ and that of the faithful, highlighting the centrality of this paschal event in the structure of Christian faith and its implications for the understanding of the human person s ultimate destiny: eternal communion with God.
