Resumo:
The adoption of electric vehicles is growing worldwide, driven by sustainability trends and changing consumer behavior. This study analyzed the perception of Brazilian consumers, particularly in the Southeast, to understand why electric cars are still not widely adopted despite increasing sales. A quantitative survey via Google Forms collected 73 responses. Results showed rising interest in electric vehicles due to their efficiency, but also concerns about limited charging infrastructure and lack of maintenance knowledge. While financial advantages are recognized, sustainability is not yet a top priority. Hybrid vehicles are often seen as a transitional choice. To boost adoption, the study suggests improving infrastructure, promoting education, and offering government incentives. These measures could encourage a broader shift toward electric mobility in Brazil.
