Resumo:
This work addresses a comparative analysis of Brazilian and American Blue Chip assets over three two-year periods: before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic, using the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) to identify changes in the Security Market Line (SML) and in the under- or overvaluation of a sample of assets from the American stock exchanges (NYSE and Nasdaq). The research was conducted with monthly price data from two indices and ten assets, namely: the 10-year U.S. Treasury bond (TY10FF), S&P 500 (SPX); and TSLA, PEP, NVDA, JNJ, WMT, PBR, ITUB, GGB, JBSAY, ABEV.
