Resumo:
This study analyzes the influence of news portals on investment behavior, focusing on how these media sources affect individuals financial decisions and their adopted risk profiles. Conducted with PUC-Rio students aged 18 to 25, the research identifies the most commonly used portals and examines the compatibility between investors perceived risk profiles and the actual composition of their portfolios. Results indicate that platforms like investment websites, popular among young people, are associated with higher risk profiles. The analysis also reveals a significant misalignment between perceived and actual risk profiles, suggesting media sources impact on investment perception and strategy.
