Resumo:
This study investigates the financial sustainability of Brazilian football clubs, focusing on four major Rio de Janeiro clubs: Flamengo, Fluminense, Vasco da Gama, and Botafogo. The research examines the importance of revenue diversification, cost control, and infrastructure development for the financial health of these clubs. The transition to the Football Anonymous Society (FAS) at Vasco and Botafogo is evaluated, highlighting its impact on liquidity, debt, and profitability indicators. The study concludes that professionalized management, along with robust financial strategies, is essential for the longevity of clubs. Findings suggest that both SAF and traditional models can be viable with effective governance practices.
