|
This project will be focused on the monetary policy adopted by the Federal
Reserve Bank during the Covid-19 pandemic (2020-) and its impacts. The period
analyzed will be from the first lockdown (March, 2020) until the data available by the
end of 2022. It will use data from the Federal Reserve Bank Economic Data, FOMC
reports and from the bibliographic methodology research. Throughout the project, there
will be a comparison between the efficiency of monetary policy in the pandemic and in
the Great Recession (2007-2009). With the support of already existing literature on the
topic, it will be possible to write a detailed analysis of the policies adopted and to write a
literature review with critics on the material and conclusions on the effectiveness of the
tools.
