This study investigates the challenges and difficulties faced by entrepreneurs in the Santa Marta community, Rio de Janeiro. Focusing on entrepreneurs from various sectors, the research identifies economic, social, and bureaucratic barriers that impact the sustainability and growth of local businesses. The analysis includes the lack of access to credit, inadequate infrastructure, complex bureaucracy, and social stigma. The research also highlights the opportunities inherent in the community s collaborative and cultural environment. By documenting these challenges and examples of success, the study provides insights for public policies and support initiatives, aiming to promote a more favorable environment for entrepreneurship and sustainable socioeconomic development in the region.
