|
The purpose of this study is to compare the foreign policy of the
Brazilian governments of Medici (1969-1974) and Lula (2003-2006)
regarding the African continent. Despite their differences in the domestic
and also international spheres, it’s possible to identify a similarity between
their foreign policies as they considered Africa one of their priorities in the
international system. Besides, this work will analyse the role of the foreign
ministers, Mario Gibson Barboza (1969-1974) and Celso Amorim (2003-
2006), in this reapproach with Africa.
