Resumo:
The purpose of this study is to answer how the reintegration process of girl soldiers from the Lords Resistance army perpetuates exclusion based on Gender hierarchies. Therefore, it will employ the narratives presented in Laura Sjobergs and Carol E. Gentrys work, Mothers, Monsters and Whores‖, to analyze pre-conceived and stereotyped images on the these girls‘ realities and which are found in the development of reintegration programs. Based on the analyses of the socialization process inside the LRA, this study makes an effort to deconstruct these pre-conceived narratives, showing how they end up stigmatizing and excluding girls in their reintegration process, and offering then new perspectives to their development.
