The central objective of the consulting project is an evaluation of the Brazilian solar energy sector aimed at Chinese companies. The main recommendations for Chinese companies currently operating or planning to enter the solar energy sector in Brazil are as follows: (i) maximize tax and regulatory benefits, (ii) explore opportunities in centralized generation, (iii) establish Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), (iv) implement joint ventures, and (v) expand into the energy transmission and storage sector. In the introduction, I highlight the capabilities of Brazil and China in the sector and their complementarities. In the development, I provide an overview of China s role in the solar energy market. I propose a diagnostic analysis of opportunities for Chinese companies in Brazil in this sector, conducting a regional analysis of investments and highlighting relevant case studies. In the conclusion, I summarize the main recommendations for Chinese companies in light of the presented scenario.
