Resumo:
Immigration plays a central role in European political agendas, particularly in debates on security, economy, and cultural identity. Following the so-called refugee crisis of 2015, the European far-right intensified its anti-immigration rhetoric, linking immigration to threats to security and stability. The rise of parties like the National Rally, led by Marine Le Pen, and the League, led by Matteo Salvini, highlighted the mobilization of discourses promoting more restrictive and securitarian policies. This study examines how these discourses shape public perceptions and influence the formulation of migration policies in the European Union.
