Bearing in mind that missiology is part of the life of every Christian, this work approaches the mission from the life of Dom Helder Pessoa Câmara, a bishop who lived in the 20th century and who made his actions a sign of God s glory in lives of all those who passed through it, especially the poorest. The mission is also an element that reveals God s love to people. It is remarkable that Helder Câmara managed to find the foundation of Sacred Scripture for his mission. He left his land just like Abraham, he was a sign of liberation for a suffering people in the style of Moses and, above all, he was a great prophet. In Helder s life and mission we noticed a person who did not accommodate himself in the face of suffering, he created considerable projects to promote life. Furthermore, Helder Câmara was someone who gave himself completely to the Holy Spirit of God, everything he did was mediated by his vigils and other devotions.
