The present paper is a study of the approach adopted in
Torres (2004) for
the problem of static or dynamic analysis of maritime
risers, considering the effect
of contact with the seabed through the method of the
finite elements. The
program developed in Lustosa (2000) and Torres (2004) is
used for the resolution
of two selected problems.
