Resumo:
Currently, Brazil is in a unique nutritional transition. There is the evolution of malnutrition, the presence of needy anemias and the increase of obesity as well as the diseases aggravated by it. In addition to overweight, there is hidden malnutrition and hunger, and despite its decline, malnutrition is still visible in growth and development deficits, food shortages, and inadequate feeding practices. Food and nutrition education (EAN) aims to promote the formation of healthier eating habits voluntarily and autonomously in the individual. In this sense, educational actions aimed at nutritional education in childhood are important for the awareness, encouragement and promotion of healthier eating habits with long-term changes in adult life. Thus, different pedagogical didactic strategies are used in the teaching-learning process as the educator’s guides, which start from the exhibition of films. Therefore, the objective of this work is to develop a teaching material for the elementary school teacher to work nutrition, eating habits and the integration of respiratory, circulatory and digestive systems in science classes. The guide part of the exhibition of the documentary Super Size Me and consists of five moments. The moment one is the screening of the documentary that recounts the experience experienced by director Morgan Spurlock in 2004. The moment two part of a script with questions based on scenes of the documentary to discuss with the class the occurrence of nutritional disorders between children and adolescents and analyze their eating habits. Moment three is the research in groups on the body systems responsible for digestion with the final production of a mental map. The fourth moment is the game "O meu cardápio", in which students organize a menu based on: nutritional information of food in chips, understanding the food pyramid and the food groups that compose it and individual needs. Finally, moment five is a closing of the guide from the writing of a critical review about the documentary and the activities of the guide. The participation of other disciplines such as Portuguese and/or English make possible the support of textual production and interdisciplinarity.
