The aim of this study was to understand the influence of social media on
consumer s eating behavior, focusing on the role of digital influencers and virtual
communities. Considering the current context, where social media has become
popular platforms for communication and interaction, we sought to understand how
these platforms impact users food choices, perceptions and attitudes. The study
addressed the influence of digital influencers in the shaping food preferences, as
well as the sharing of information and experiences in virtual communities related
to food.
