Resumo:
Boresight plays a key role in defense systems, being essential for many types of weapons and targeting equipment. Its importance is related to the accuracy and effectiveness of defense operations. These devices are designed to precisely align the weapon with the desired target, thereby allowing defending forces to achieve their objectives with greater confidence and sucess, reducing the number of wasted shots and improving the hit rate, in addition to reducing the risk of collateral damage. This final Project has acomplished all the steps and processes involved in the creation of a prototype of a digital collimator that meets, to a certain level, all the technical specifications, functionalities and performance standards of collimator models already established in the mar￾ket, aiming to optimize costs through more accessible components, but without compromising the quality of the equipment. In that regard, a survey was made of the electronic and optical components necessary for the construction of the device, the development of the mechanical project for the coupling in the weapon and the firmware programming, in order to establish the communication between the collimator and the defense system.
