The objective of this study was to elaborate a diagnosis regarding the
economic and financial health of a Brazilian Maritime Agency and provide data that
may assist in future decision-making. The work is the result of the analysis of the
financial statements corresponding to the period from 2017 to 2021, along with the
calculation of specific economic-financial indicators and interviews with company
employees. In general, the results showed that Mastixa s indicators are at levels
considered favorable. However, it is important for the company to monitor the high
indebtedness and the absence of profit retention as a short-term strategy in order
to ensure its long-term sustainability.
