Resumo:
Rheometry is present in different sectors of the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries, in the manufacture of paints and cement and in behavior analysis of polymers such as rubber, for example. One segment of rheometry is the study of surface tensions and pressures at the interface of fluids and how the presence of surfactants influences these variables. An existing experimental apparatus is the Langmuir’s cuba, developed to measure the surface tension of an interface with surfactant, during its unidirectional compression. The project seeks to adapt a force tensiometer to perform measurements analogous to the cuba, only through an isotropic compression, without the presence of shear stresses throughout the experiment. To then compare the values obtained in the adapted equipment with those obtained in the Langmuir apparatus.
