|
In a low carbon economy, the challenges faced by the oil and natural gas industry and for the country are great. The objective of this study was to evaluate the financial performance of companies in the oil and gas sector that are listed on the B3 and belong to the ICO2 sustainability index. To fulfill this objective, the financial indicators were analyzed to evaluate whether the adequacy of these indices generated financial value over time. The results showed, in general, a better performance of the companies belonging to the ICO2, during the analyzed period.
