Resumo:
This article intends to show how important financial education is in the life of an individual. The final objective of the article is to develop a categorization of this financial education in Brazil, in three categories directly linked to the individual s level of financial education. The methodology used was an exploratory quantitative field research, to understand the profile of Brazilians to illustrate this segregation. After performing the categorization, it is clear that categories A and B need special attention when it comes to knowledge about interest rates and financial instruments to facilitate the management of their own assets, while category C represents people with full knowledge of the subject.
