Multiple ways of harnessing the energy of nature have existed in society since the dawn of civilization, but with the advancement of technology and the increasing need for new ways to collect as much energy as possible, it has become necessary to develop several new models of small-scale energy harvesting, such as the ones based on piezoelectric sensors. At the same time, a new technology is also gaining popularity due to its enormous range of applications, the unmanned aerial vehicles, UAVs. They are increasingly popular and are used in various sectors such as logistics, agriculture, film, and even the military. But their low autonomy diminishes their usefulness in those applications. It is based on these two contexts that the project aims at integrating the two technologies. We conducted a study of possible energy harvesting models, followed by a more in-depth study of PVDF, a piezoelectric material, so that we could use this material to collect energy from the vibration of the UAV. To validate this hypothesis, we ran simulations within LTSpice using electronic circuits to be able to channel the energy generated by the piezoelectric into battery charging, contributing to the increased flight time of a drone.
