Resumo:
Organizational Commitment has an influence in organizations effectiveness, and Brazil is still starting to study this subject. In this same context, small businesses are looking into empowering their staff. Thereby, this case study research, investigated if there was correlation between the concepts of psychological empowerment (PE), measured by Spreitzer (1995) s scale and organizational commitment (OC), measured by Medeiros (2003) s EBACO, using as sample a small strategic and financial management consulting company from Rio de Janeiro. After looking into the results, there were found correlations between some PE dimensions and OC basis.
