Through the rise and advancement of the internet, society has gone through several behavioral changes that affect not only the way people communicate with each other, but also how they seek information and act. This behavioral change has made it necessary to be online, to be able to reach your audience, increase and become a decisive factor for business. The presence and impact of social media in the life of the consumer has become inevitable, making it evident that social media can serve as a platform for a more direct approach between a business and its target audience. This study aims to analyze how SMEs currently use social media as a marketing and sales tool and the opportunities that social media offer to improve the businesses. This is qualitative research that seeks to understand how these individuals see the role of social media in their business, based on the analysis of eight interviews with entrepreneurs. From this, it was possible to identify the relationship between entrepreneurs who use social media and how this causes impact on their business.
