The aim of this work is to analyze, through a comparative case study, two examples of economic-financial management in football clubs. For this purpose, Flamengo Regatas Club and Cruzeiro Esporte Club were chosen. In light of the financial statements of each one, regarding the years 2013 to 2019, financial indicators such as the General Indebtedness Ratio, Net Margin and Net Debt / EBITDA were calculated in order to assess the impacts of the type of management used in each association in the development of their financial health.
