Amidst an economic crisis scenario in 2021, in a country that has about half of its population made up of the middle class, also known as class C, the importance of caring for the management of your personal finances to avoid the indebtedness. Faced this panorama, the objective of the study was to verify the relationship between indebtedness and financial planning of class C. The work presents a quantitative research carried out with a pattern of 79 people belonging to class C, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The results showed that the main factors that lead the class C to indebtedness are credit cards, consumerism, and lack of planning. Furthermore, it was observed that there is no practice of saving your resources with applications or investments. Thereby, it could be concluded Thus, for this reason, the interviewees are not satisfied with the way they carry out financial planning.
