Resumo:
This study will present different areas of Mechanical Engineering knowledge, culminating in obtaining an optimized geometry against runoff of the rear wheel hub of a mini-Baja vehicle aiming its implementation in the future. First, the state of the art of the component was studied in order to determine the load cases acting on the component during its use and its minimum design requirements. Once the critical loads acting on the part were defined, the magnitude of the loads was acquired from experimental data, computational models of the spring-mass system and analytical calculations of the forces acting on the vehicle Agama, from the Reptiles Baja PUC-Rio Team. With the quantified forces and the operating boundary conditions, the Altair Inspire implementation stage was initiated to perform structural simulations and, subsequently, the topological optimization of the component.
