The consumption of organic food is on the rise as there is a growing concern with eating habits that are more directed towards health. Along with this, the environment in which he finds himself is increasingly valued by the consumer. This study has as main objective to analyze the increase in consumption of organic products in Brazil, more specifically in Rio de Janeiro, together with the perception of consumer value on the origin of this product, to the detriment of its challenges for consumption. In addition, the study seeks to discover the impact that organic food generates for the consumer, and the meaning of conscious consumption in his eyes.
