Resumo:
The story begins in 1906, at the hands of the first generation of the Rivieira family, an entrepreneur named José María Rivera Corral, who after returning from America, founds the Estrella de Galicia factory, which started making ice and until then a not so widespread business in the world, beer. In the 1920s, the modernization process of the factory began by the hands of Ramon Rivera, the founder s son, who graduated in Commercial Sciences in Hamburg, and was one of the first Spaniards to have a master s degree in beer, which until then was not a very common thing. In the 1950s, Estrella Galicia began its reformulation process in which the production process was automated, thus allowing it to gain more speed in its beer production. The consumption of beer grows at a fast pace, and the production of Estrella Galicia reaches 10 million liters in the 1970s, which is slightly less than the production of Brazil today. With people wanting to consume a larger quantity of beer, the need arises to move from one location to another where they can produce more and meet this new market demand and in 1972 the first production takes place where the current factory is today. In 2011, Estrella Galicia do Brasil was founded and a historic period was set in the company s history, the first outside of European territory and in 2013 With a production of more than 130 million liters of beer per year, the company is positioned solid in the Spanish beer market and advances rapidly in countries such as Australia, China, Russia, the United States, Brazil, among many others, in addition to expanding the factory facilities in Lã Coruña with the goal of producing 250 million liters of Premium beer.
