Resumo:
The use of smartphone applications based on artificial intelligence of robo-advisors which guide financial investments decisions is still incipient in Brazil compared to developed countries such as the United States. However, your recent arrival in Brazil has the potential to transform the way people make investments by democratizing financial consulting through easy access and low costs. Given this scenario and the insufficient amount of national literature on this subject, this study intents to investigate Brazilians intention of adoption in regards to this new tool, according to their risk aversion and financial education. An exploratory research was performed with a sample of 145 people with different demographic and financial profiles. The results showed a positive adoption of the total sample, with a higher predisposition by younger people, with lower risk aversion and lower level of financial education. These findings create opportunities for deeper researches that are able to analyze potential benefits these applications can bring to Brazilians.
