Since the invention of soda, in the mid of XIX century, society has been changing its form of consumption. Initially, sold and produced inside pharmacies, it was even used in treatments such as colic and polio. Currently, with the advancement of medicine and the positioning of organs such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health, it becomes the villain accused of contributing to obesity in the world. In this context, the present work aims to present the two main problems, changing consumer habits and possible assessment on sugary products, showing the size of the opportunity for low-calorie soft drinks, without or with reduced sugars. Through the Holt Winters model (HW), it was possible to predict a considerable growth in sales volume and gross revenue using as an example the numbers of Company X, renowned in the beverage industry.
