This exploratory study has the objective of discovering if there is need of a Fashion Consulting agency in the estate of Rio de Janeiro. It was developed a general analysis of the Brazilian fashion sector, to understand the Brazilian fashion field as a hole. After this analysis, it was developed an evolution panoram of the textile sector, to be able to understand its actual conditions. The next step, was not only, to interview fashion companies with employees number higher than a hundred which produce clothes for women, but also, to interview smaller manufacturing companies which also produce clothes for
women. As these interviewed companies correspond the potential clients for this consulting service. The results were obtained and analyzed. These analyses satisfied the main objective of this study, therefore, it was possible to figure out if in Rios fashion market there is the need of a fashion consulting agency.
