The main objective of this study is to identify the reasons that lead or inhibit Brazilian consumer towards the adoption of electric cars. The present study was based on consumer s attitudes and consumption behavior. A bibliographic research was carried out on electric cars, their pros e cons, their association to environmental gains, resource savings, among others. There was also an exploratory quantitative field research. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire, built on Qualtrics platform, and sent to respondents by social media. Data were analyzed applying descriptive statistics.
