This paper aims to analyze the company Pão de Açúcar in the three different
phases that the company went through: before the entrance of the Casino
company, during the management of Casino-Abílio Diniz and after the departure
of Abílio Diniz. These phases had the greatest impact on the company as the
power structure was changed. This analysis will be performed through
accounting, financial and strategic indices with the goal of observing the effect on
the share value.
