Natural Gas has major importance in the world energy matrix, as it is a less polluting fossil fuel and has applications in several industries, mainly for electric power generation. The discovery of pre-salt oil and gas reservoirs off the Brazilian coast in the last 15 years, presents new possibilities for the national natural gas market. Those findings also pose major challenges related to their composition, production and transportation to the coast. In this project, the scenario, the current natural gas market in Brazil, the current production flow to the coast, as well as alternatives such as the construction of new pipelines, natural gas liquefaction vessels (FLNG), compressed gas vessels, gas to wire (GTW), gas to liquids (GTL) and reinjection. It was possible to make a comparison between the existing technologies and those ones that still need development for effective and adequate transportation for the growing national production, transforming Brazil in a self-sufficient country and exporter of this fossil fuel.
