Resumo: | |||||||||||||
In this present work thermoelastic stress analysis is used to determine fatigue limit, stress concentration and intensity factors and crack growth rate based on Paris law, using tensile test and key-hole specimens of API 5L grau B material. The tensile test specimen will be used to determine the fatigue limit of the material exempting the key-hole specimen of any primary damage to determine the others properties. In all experiments, a infrared microbolometer low cost camera (FLIR A655sc) was used with commercial
software of TSA data analysis (Deltatherm2 of Stress Photonics Inc.). The key-hole specimen will be subjected to traction (mode I, uniaxial stress state) in order to obtain KI . It s worth pointing out that the Risitano s method (thermografic method) has uncertainty around 15 percent, which must be taken into account in the calculation of the fatigue limit. Finally, compare the coefficients of crack propagation rate of Paris Law with those obtained experimentally.
