Electric brushless motors are synchronous machines composed by a rotor and a stator, working through magnetic field interactions generated from magnetic sources such as permanent magnets or electromagnets. The interaction between the magnetic fields creates an/a attraction/repulsion force that induces movement in the rotor, consequently generating useful work. Synchronous motors are present in mostly all manufacturing segments. Hence, improvements in the equipment can bring benefits for many industry segments. Due to its low maintenance and high efficiency, the permanent magnet brushless motor has becoming popular for cutting-edge technology applications. This work provides a linear model for the permanent-magnet brushless electric motor in a DC configuration and proposes an analysis of its dynamic behavior in order to study its performance with different coupled loads. After, a simulation of the dynamic model is provided to evaluate the motor behavior in several conditions. At last, the results obtained in the research are discussed and analyzed.
