This assignment tries to widespread the importance of
believing in the potential of rural Young people, that have
not so many opportunities to develop themselves in their own
environment and end up by adhering to rural exodus. The
assignment had the objective of identifying if social
investiments made by Instituto Souza cruz, with special
reference to the Cedejor project, are of either
assistancial or transforming nature. The Cedejor project
aims to offering to rural young people in southern Brazil
an experience feeding sustainable human devolopment. It
tries to develop the enterprising spirit in of rural young
people , to make them become agents of transformation of
their own reality leading consequently to better conditions
of life. Therefore, it doesn t point only to job
qualification but also to the overall development of young
people.
