Resumo:
This case study has the purpose to analyze the global functioning of a 5-star hotel restaurant, its costs, price policy and the adopted competitive strategies to detect its weaknesses, suggesting improvements, which would bring an increase in rentability. The data used as base to this analysis were collected from questionnaires, interviews and market survey, in addition to the bibliographic research. In the latter, theories from specific authors were selected, regarded as more proper to the case. The analysis of the current procedures, adopted by the hotel management, arrived to the conclusion, in which, a revision of some of the policies, as well as, a major focus on differentiation in services are necessary.
