Resumo:
The riser is an important component for the oil exploration activity, with the purpose of encapsulating and protecting the drilling equipment and serving as conduit to the well. This equipment must withstand large imposed loads, therefore it is considered a critical element in the development of a drilling column. The increasing demand for oil has led companies to look for new reserves in deeper waters, which leads to increasing loads on the risers. In the industry, when planning the drilling of an oil well, riser analyzes are conducted to determine the best configuration and evaluate their potential failures. This project proposes to perform a numerical simulation of finite elements suitable for rigid risers. The structure is represented by a long beam model with a straight section composed of materials and geometries suitable for mechanical and thermal resistance and ease of internal flow. The numerical simulation should contemplate the study of the riser in static equilibrium, performing an analysis of tensions and deformations along the column. The geometry and loading data used in the simulation were obtained from a drilling company. The study will be performed in ANSYS software that uses the finite element method.
