Resumo:
Reptiles is the Baja SAE Racing car team of PUC-Rio. Founded in 2008, the team has reached outstanding results over the years. In your recent history it became the reference as it is considered the best team from Rio de Janeiro State and its goal is to reach the world league. However, the Baja SAE competititon, organized by SAE Brazil, is the most competitive of its kind in Brazil, therefore it is needed lots of engineering studies and its application to stand out among the competitors. Thus, the weight of the car plays a big role. This study aims to apply topology optimization techniques in the suspension link in order to minimize its weight, ensuring its stiffness. The basic premiss is that the MATLAB, used here to do the topology optimization, can be customized to be simple and intuitive so it can be easy to manipulate as future generation of the team will be able to use.
