Resumo:
The objective of the study is to identify which type of organizational commitment is predominant among the employees of the Maré Olympic Village, an organization located in an area of risk that belongs to Rio de Janeiro City, but is managed by a Non-Governmental Organization called Maré Olimpic Village Sports Union - UEVOM. The present study was done according to the established model of Meyer and Allen (1991) considering an affective, normative and instrumental commitment. For the data collection a questionnaire was applied based on the instrument developed by Meyer and Allen (1997). The result of the research showed that affective impairment is the predominant one in the organization, but it is not the only one to have a high level, since the normative commitment also obtained an expressive result.
