Resumo:
This present work consists in performing the vaporization of ethanol in a turbulent regime burner (BEST Flame). Initially, a numerical study of geometric, dimensionless and thermal properties was carried out to guarantee the heating of ethanol. The methodology of the fixed beds was decided to provide a heat exchange between the tube and the ethanol, but only with the boiling, the heat exchange was not satisfactory. A flow meter calibration and a cost study of spheres were performed. Before the ethanol test, for safety measures and to verify the proper functioning of the equipment, a water test was carried out. Then the ethanol test was carried out and we were able to vaporize and generate a stabilized combustion in small ranges of ethanol flows.
