The work analyzed the main brazilian publicly traded processed food companies through its patrimonial balance, financial and main insolvency indicators in order to measure the correlation among the main insolvency indicators and the share prices of these companies between 2010 and 2017. The study found, with only one exception, that the insolvency indicators of these companies have no significant correlation with its share prices, which shows how important is the update of these insolvency indicators.
