|
The main objective of this study was to comprehend the current scenario of
Brasil Foods (BRF) through the analysis of its financial statements and the
macroeconomic scenario in which the company is inserted, and analyze positive
and negative factors that may affect its future. In addition, the study assesses the
business environment and the specifics that directly interfere in the accounting
results, further widening BRF s analysis. In order to achieve the desired results, the
analysis of the company s balance sheet (BS) and Profits and Losses (P and L) for the
years 2015 and 2016 was made necessary, with the specific objectives of
quantifying the financial ratios and analyzing the economic and financial situation
in the studied periods. In addition, the methods of Vertical and Horizontal Analysis
of the financial statements were of paramount importance for the understanding of
the behavior of the company during these exercises.
