Resumo:
The present work demonstrates the development of a mathematical model of a Stirling cycle heat pump, with the aim of improving the development of more sustainable alternatives for water heating, in detriment to traditional methods. This model is developed by means of the method of control volumes in a transient regime and simulated in MATLAB software, where mass and energy conservation equations of each control volume interact with each other, varying its thermodynamic properties and using empirical correlations for the heat transfer. The results of this model are confronted with available experimental data and model applications are presented at the end of the thesis.
