Resumo: | |||||||||||||
An electric motor manufacturing demands great demands on the part of the quality control for reliability, safety and prolonged life. Quality electric motors and good electrical performance ensure high energy efficiency. Although there are regulations allowing only a marketing of premium category electric motors, there is wide range of low quality motors available for sale. Much of this market comes from refurbished electric motors in a precarious way and without any concern for a final quality of the product. A study conducted by PUC- Rio in 2012 identified the impact on the loss of energy efficiency that these refurbished motors cause. This work seeks to expand the research carried out, proposing a new methodology to identify companies that perform motor recovery services on demand from customers or those that offer refurbished engines as if they were new for sale. The new methodology proposed is based on the Annual Report of Social Information, which has a large database for information on all workers declared by companies in Brazil. From data it is possible to measure a number of companies that work in the field of reconditioning electric motors in Brazil, as well as to identify the profile of the professionals who work in them. A qualitative research was also carried out in order to generate subsidies for a quantitative research for future works. These studies aim to complement and validate the data obtained in RAIS (Annual Report of Social Information) come from Brazilian Ministry of Labor. This work has reachedall the objectives, since the new methodology proposed presents consistent results, and it was possible to expand the results obtained by PUC-Rio in its previous research.
