The saturation limit of optical amplifiers is an important limitation in practical applications of these devices. In
the present project, we developed two schemes for light amplification above this limit, using the property of
polarization to divide an optical pulse into N others, which are then separately amplified until saturation and
then recombined to form a single pulse with power above saturation power.
