In order to identify the strategies adopted by the players of the cocoa industry in Southern Bahia region to generate more value along the supply chain, this research project seeks to obtain information from producers,
manufacturers and consumers of the product, looking forward to analyze what has been done in this regard. Considering a major mismatch in the industry, with the increasing demand for chocolate and decreasing supply of the beans, globally, increasing the productivity of the studied area, linked to sustainable development and biodiversity conservation, may appear as possibilities to the creation of an economic cluster favorable to market opportunities.
